Snow Day?

Tue Jan 27, 2009, 5:21 PM
Yeeeeeah... First snow day of the year. We got less than one inch.

I didn't even HAVE to come to school because I'm exempt from my exams. Technically, I didn't have to come to school until Thursday (Mon/Tues-- exam exemptions, Wed-- teacher work day) but because of the snow day, I don't have to come to school until FRIDAY.
:iconweekenddanceplz:
SIX DAY WEEKEND FTW, BABY!! :D

Aaaaaand! No track practice! So I get to be EXTRA lazy! *collapses asleep on keyboard* jgadshka;aliskfjd...

|D

But, of course, this is VIRGINIA, so tomorrow the temp is gonna spike to 40 and it's going to RAIN, so the entire area is going to become one big sheet of black ice... o_o;;

In random news, I recently filled up my McCain/Palin Campaign sitckers decked-out Sketchbook of awesome. So I had to get a new sketchbook... I'm sad. Now everytime I draw, I won't be reminded of the dream that was almost...! :iconcryingplz:
At least, so I thought.
Until I found ANOTHER massive bumper sticker in my secret stach. :evillaugh:

Romney/Palin 2012!! Dreeeeeam Teeeeeam...!

Ad Vitam Aeternam

After cornering them with no escape, Anya had placed Sam out of commission with a high-heel kick to the face (ouch) and brutally wounded Derek. Facing this woman who cannot die, our heroes are left to desperately trying to find someway to defeat her. Last time they were faced with a literally soulless murderer, they had Castille and his powers of soul manipulation to paralyze Liam. But Castille had Kaylee make a promise to him-- Never to use her soul energy for violence.
But when even Plan Squiddly fails, will Kaylee have any choice?

Wanna trade? We've had enough snow to ensure were not going to have a drout. 120 somethin' inches in the mountains. And Winter is less than half over. At least you don't have to shovel rain.

I think Virginia and DC would be shut down for months and declare it a national tragedy if we got that much snow.
Al Gore would be up on a podium...

Well for us it's the end of a seven-ten year drout so we've been needing it. A couple of years ago the water table levels got so low that Lake Powell got shut down cause it was nothing than a mud hole and since the cliffs are nearly 200' high you can only launch at the boat ramps. And that is a big lake i'll tell you, it has more coast line than the western coast of the US. But I bet Virginia isn't 1400 ft above sea level so snow probably would be weird. Y-know with driving on it and all; but here's a tip, if you're driving and you start to slide and swerve uncontrolably on the snow or ice, just stear the direction the back of your car goes.

Gosh, did you all do some weird mormon water dance or something? :XD::laughing: Kidding.

See, snow in Virginia isn't totally rare. Nothern Virginia and Western Virginia gets it, but we live near the Chesapeake Bay and we also live in a valley, in the shadow of the Appalachain mountains, so it's a tad warmer here because we don't get the cold fronts from Canada. But we got snow today because the cold front was big enough, and moisture from the Gulf of Mexico made it North.
